Ingredients:
- 4 cup chana dal
- 2 green chili
- Coriander leaves
- 2 piece garlic
- 1 tbsp cumin powder
- 1 tbsp coriander powder
- ½ tbsp turmeric powder
- 2 tsp cumin seeds
- water as needed
- For making Chana Dal Badi first, wash and soak the Dals overnight.
- Next morning remove water from Dals and wash it properly.
- Then grind the dals with green chili, coriander leaves, garlic, cumin seeds, spices(masale) and make a smooth and thick paste using water as required.
- Now whisk the Chana Badi paste. If you will not whisk it properly then the Badi may become hard.
- Now take a small portion of paste and make Chana Badi(round shape) on a thick plastic sheet.
- After that, we Sun-drying it for 3 or 4 days.
- Now our Badi is ready to make tasty vegetables recipes during summer and all other seasons.
- Sun Dry the Badi completely for 3-4 days before storing it.
- If Badi’s are not dried properly and some moisture remains inside then the Badi’s may get fungus and spoiled.
- So dry it properly and store it in an airtight jar.
- If we store it properly then we can cook it in all seasons, mostly in rainy seasons.
